Calling all Hoyles!

I have created a FaceBook group called "Hoyles from Lancashire to Hamilton" in an effort to gather the descendants of these families in one place. I am hopeful we will be able to collaborate our research to discover how our families are related to each other, and to extend our family lines further in England. I hope many will join me in this endeavor!

‘Facets of FamilySearch’

On April 20^th, I had the privilege of making a presentation to the Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society on the many facets of FamilySearch. I am a member of this society, so it is always especially fun for me to have the opportunity to speak. So many friends and familiar faces!

I enjoyed sharing the basics of the web site and answering questions. We also discussed some of the lesser-known research techniques that will help users locate information they might otherwise miss.
